Making progress..

Our second round of virtual house paint photos arrived in the mail yesterday and were quite pleasing. I am not into how the grey house paint scheme looks on our house, especially not after being offered the plethora of paint options. The decision was really between the the red or green (the new green photos were lighter than the previous green ones). The green didn't super wow me, I mean it was nice, ok, safe, and the dark green was masculine. Honestly though, I have never passed a green house and thought wow! Well, except that I do like our painters house that he painted green.....except that I don't ever remember it being green, I remember it as red, or orange...wierd, but he has a nice craftsman green on his house that lends nicely to the yellow windown trim and black window frames. So I think I'm going to go balls to the walls and paint the house RED. I have a pair of curtains in the living room that adore and I have a paint scheme much like them that I am thinking of using. I should add that I also have a green version of those curtains, much the same as my brown ones but in green and I just don't like them that much, they just just ok compared to my lucious brown and red curtains, which is why they are in the downstairs bathroom now-a-days. I am working on matching paint chips at this point, which I will then have the 8x11 large paint chips sent to me (did I mention my painter is awesome), after I like the big paint chips my painter will bring samples to paint on the house for me to ensure I totally like what I have.

Red for the body
Lighter Yellow for the soffit, facia, widows, middle of porch posts, balastraudes
Darker Yellow for the porch rails, the tops and bottoms of porch posts, all crown, trim above the porch

Grey/Greenish Taupe for the doors, gingerbread brackets, porch swing
Dark Brown for the existing roof and front porch floor
