Welcome to our 200th post!
It's been raining on and off today, as it is suppose to do here for the next couple of days. I'm just doing some laundry and waiting for it to rain a little more...WHAT!?! Yeah you heard me right, yesterday or Saturday, one of the two, we made a point to get our rain barrel set up. No sense in paying for and using treated water to hydrate the tons of flowers I have...I know.. put a pair of rose colored glasses and a headband on me and just say PEACE. I am..kinda hippy-ish and am happy that is all the rage right now. Soooo, let it rain..so it can run off the roof of the house and be captured by reused barrel!
By the way with the nice warm weather (ie-better mileage) I filled up the car yesterday and rocked 70mpg on the way back to the house! Whooot!

Dreary Day
Most of the day has been fairly dreary and is just catching up with me and isss makinng me sleepppyy.....what, oh yeah, blog post.
A few days ago it was really nice out. Sunny, warm, I was rockin' a new pair of shorts. Makenna and I were going to the park, Mom came with us. An hour and a half later, I was burnt. Grrrr, I don't usually burn butttt I was really lazy over the winter and didn't go to the tanning beds at all. I've got some pretty crazy tan lines now from the shirt I was wearing. Not to worry, Makenna was not harmed that day, as she had found her sunscreen before we left and thought to remind me to put it on her but first spraying it all over my bed and pillow. I guess it was time for clean sheets.....
That same day Mom said she wanted to look for an apartment she had heard about. It was on Prairie street. Neither one of us knew where the hell Prairie street was, just kinda aimlessly driving, hoping to somehow run into it (which never happens in the nexus of CUS-Champaign, Urbana, Savoy). So we call Chris for directions, and well, I'm sure you know how that goes. So we call Brent for directions and he asks if we are in the Prius. We are like yeaaaah, and he asks us why we aren't using the navigation system. DOH! Oh and I thought the air conditioner needed to be recharged, well, it helps if you turn it on....crazy little car, and by saying that I totally admit that I just don't know how to use it, lol.
Makenna's been doing quite well, she was a little two crazy last week. Yeah I mean TWO crazy, crazy like a two year old. One day last week she decided that day that she wanted to wear her Halloween costume. I managed to get her to let me put some clothes on under it...but by golly she wore that bee costume ALL DAY LONG. We went outside down the slide in it, took a walk down the block in it, ate lunch in it and even took at 3 hour nap it. How she did whither away from all the sweat she probably lost in it, I have no idea. Did I mention she also decided that the honey pot bag that went with the costume would look nice as a hat? Yep.

Bootyful!

- Last night after taking a trot on the treadmill (for the third time this week!) I decided it was time for my reward of getting a new $2 nailpolish (at walgreens and meijer SINFUL COLORS), they have great colors and it dries super fast and hard! My color of choice BIG DADDY, a pinish bright orange color!
- Anyways so I'm wondering around Walgreens and decide to stroll down the hair color isle, cause my roots were starting to show. Anyway they had Revlon's frost and glow honey highlights kit on sale for like $7, I figure what the crap and buy it. I highlighted my hair the time before last w/color experte but that stuff is expensive and a pain.
- This kit came with the trusty cap and hook, they even broke the cap into three different sections, one for just lights around the face, one for your crown and one for the back.
- I was being lazy and only did the ones around the face, usually highlights turn brassy on me anyway b/c my hair is so dark. But this kit rocked, I left it on for 20 min (max is 60) and I have some beautiful honey highlights, no brass, and seriously some of the highlights are blonde blonde. Anyway they look great, the cap being broken up w/face framing was great and my hair isn't damaged feeling (which it will do after bleach). I give the kit an A+++!
