Labwork is in from our doctor appointments! And drumroll pleeeeease.....I've lowered my cholesterol! Yay! My total cholesterol before was 231 and now it is 198! Normal is anything under 200. I also lowered my bad cholesterol, and triglycerides while raising my good cholesterol! Yay! I've been taking an omega 3 supplement as well as half of a Promise Active Supershot everyday. Occasionally I will try to eat oatmeal on a semi-regular basis but I fall off the bandwagon fairly quickly. I've done the super shots for a couple of months now and the omega for about a month. Neither are very expensive so if you want to try them they have seemed to have worked on me! And no surprise, Brent's cholesterol was fine and much lower than mine.
Tuesday we have an appointment at the new photo place in the mall, it's been over a year since we last had a family photo taken. Honestly I wouldn't be having it done if it wasn't as inexpensive as it is. It's like 10 bucks, the pose you choose and you get tons of pictures! One - 10 x 13, Two - 8 x 10’s, Four - 5 x 7’s, Four - 3 x 5’s, 32 Wallets and 6 portrait cards. No sitting fees, no gimmicks. Plus they print your pictures at the store, so you don't have to wait a month for some lab to print them. I'll let you know how it goes!
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day! Brent and I were able to get reservations at The Great Impasta, and for reason I think I mentioned this in another post. Grandma Vicki is babysitting, then we are planning on catching a movie and maybe going to Boltini for wonderful MARTINIS, and they have a great cheese plate!
And for those that hadn't noticed yet or weren't sure, Yes, Makenna does have her ears pierced now. She likes to play with mine and if you give her something round she will hang it on her ear like an earring. The other day while she was playing with my earrings I asked her if she wanted earrings and she said yeah. So we drove on down to Sally's I picked up a self piercing kit (studs loaded into spring loaded plastic dodads and sterilzed), we did it at home (I've had piercings from both guns used commercially and the plastic spring thing and the plastic things hurts much less!), I did it, she cried not long at all (they didn't bleed, didn't swell and weren't red). They hurt when she touched them that night but since then they don't cause her any pain and we rotate them daily to help with the healing process. And they look so cute!
