1. Last week we got a new doorbell, woohoo, looks like one I saw in the Restoration Hardware catalog.
2. Wednesday we had Country Carpentry out to do some..carpentry work. Rebuilt the two porch posts at the base of the front porch, and the ones on the back porch, replaced some rotten fascia and soffit on the back porch, patched some aluminum siding and repaired a window sill. They did great work and we are having them come out and replace the flat roof on the back of house which is apparently well past the funtional life, not to mention not properly flashed, bahhhh!

3. Last Monday we signed our painting contract with the dude we really like. He is now working on the color virtualization, picking a few color schemes to show me, sooooo excited, he really has an eye for color. We should have those in a couple of weeks. He says the painting itself should take about 3 weeks to do. It is a lot of work, painting all the fascia, soffit, siding, reglazing the windows, painting the windows, doors, gutters and all the porch trim. Holy crappola, I'm just glad that I am not doing it. They will be using an articulated lift to reach the gables since they are so high. Painting should start around the end of July.
4. This past week I received my results from the blood work I had done a couple of weeks ago. I've been taking an over the counter supplement that I have read in multiple medical journals is suppose to help treat my PCOS, it loosely related to vitamin B but not really, it is something our bodies make ourselves. Anyway I had my Dr. draw my testosterone levels and cholesterol levels, since both levels have to do with PCOS and were both elevated last year. After taking the supplement I've been taking for three months my testosterone levels fell by 53%, which means they are no longer elevated (and are well within the normal range) AND my cholesterol levels also decreased and are now within the normal range. Yay for finding my over the counter solution that has no side effects and works amazingly well!
5. Last week we took a little trip to visit Grandma Helen and Grandpa Lee and spent the afternoon with them. Makenna has lots of fun, including going to the park and getting some icecream. This weekend we met up with some friends and their kids to go to the American museum, then mexican, then the park and had some icecream. We were worn out by the end of the day!
