1.New photos are up on the photo site.
2.They consist of the Christmas parade, last weekends busy weekend, and putting up the Christmas tree.
3. Last weekend we did a bunch of nothing Saturday morning, drove to Indiana Saturday night (so didn't have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to drive to chruch). Sunday-church, Christmas at Dads, Dinner theater thingy, drive home. Monday- Drive to Bloomington and back, then that night go to dinner with Grandparents and I went with Grandma to Annie at the Assemb. Hall.
4. Waiting for UPS packages. Hopefully usps gives me my package with nail crap in it. I did my nail yesterday but they look like crap!
5. Should get my new headlight bulbs today that I ordered off ebay. The dealership can suck it at $175 PER BULB. I got a PAIR off ebay for $60 shipped, not including cashback. really.
6. Ordered my new sensor part yesterday from a dealership in Florida for more than $100 less than the local dealership wanted to sell it for. really. Decided to just order the part, that way I don't have to dick with it anymore. Funny part is I could have gotten away with just manually adjusting the headlights before but now the sensor is partially working so that wouldn't work now...
7. Makenna had her preschool holiday party yesterday, they sang some songs and then got to see santa and get gifts. After that we munched on some grindage..
8. We have tickets to see Cirque du soleil in March, whoot!
9. Can't believe Christmas is next week! When are we gonna get some snow!?

Why we are not getting a..
Family photo taken for Christmas this year.
I tried, I really did. I got Makenna all dressed up, hair done. I had my dress on, makeup done, hair done. Finally got Brent dressed, bugged him to shave, even though he was in a less than desirable mood.
He mentions it will probably be busy, I don't agree, since I've never taken pictures the weekend of Thanksgiving...
We walk out the front door and it starts raining. The mall is packed, so we have to park a ways away from the front of the photo place...in the cold rain. We walk into the photo place and it is packed. I figure it's fine b/c it is only 1pm and they close at 7pm. Brent asks..nope..no availability until the next day they are open. Yay.
Fine. Whatever. We walk down to Sears to see if they have any availability. They do, we fill out some paperwork and get right in. The lady wants to take some pictures of Makenna first..even though it was made clear WE ARE HERE FOR A FAMILY PHOTO. One shot is taken and Makenna starts crying loudly. And by this time her face is bright red, spotchy and snot is running down her face. Makenna later told us the lights from the flash scared her.
No amount of toys or bribery can stop it. She continues to cry, while I continue to pull photo props out, tring to get her to stop. The photo lady stands there...and then asks me "Is she an only child?". I stand there and look at her, thinking WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH IT?. I tell her yes and she nods... My other thought is "no, we left our other child at home for our family photo." , ANYWAYS...
Makenna is still crying when we leave sears, me walking about ten feet in front of everyone else. She cried all the way to the car. We came home and I put on pajamas. THIS is why we are not having a family christmas photo taken this year. I give up, I tried, it wasn't meant to be apparently..

Thanksagiving
So turkey day has come and gone. Mom cooked the bird this year, she and I made some sides..all in all making it pretty easy work this year. We finally finished all the dishes around 3pm today. Thank goodness for double sinks! I busted out the silver and we used quite a bit of it. Why not right?
The Christmas tree is up..well, kinda. I mean it is UP, it has lights and tinsel on it but we've not done anything else to it yet. Makenna announces it every time she walks in the sitting room, as if it is the president. Ladies and gentlemen..the Christmas tree...okay she doesn't say it like that. She just squeals with joy and screeches "Chriptmas tree!", as if she isn't sure between each visit whether or not she will see it again.
I was brave and did venture out today, it didn't seem any worse that a weekend when we have a home football game. I made a run to Sallys to get some nail stuff that I really don't need..Brent was nice enough to entertain my thought that I had a $5 coupon off $20...ummm $37 later...yadayadayada. After spending too much at Sallys I went to the mall because I neeeeeded to look at one item for a special 6'2 someone and got a decent deal. The mall was busy but not much busier than a normal weekend w/football visitors. Came home..ate more leftovers..I'll tell ya it took all I had not to stop at the new Chicago pizza place by the mall though.
(Insert pause here while I google their menu.) ABORT ABORT ABORT, close the window! It's too late, now I want pizza. FYI, they are open til 2am (thinking to myself..everyone else is sleeping, I'm awake...I cooould just take the car and..ABORT ABORT ABORT!)
Ok so after reading their menu I see that they have a guacamole burger. WHAT ARE PEOPLE THINKING! Really..this isn't the first guacamole burger I've seen advertised, who thought that would be a good idea..really. I like guac, I like burgers..but like candy corn I don't like them together! And yes I realize candy corn doesn't..well it probably has corn syrup in it..ha, ok so my point stands then! Guacamole burger..NO..candy corn..NO.
Ok enough random blogging..I figured I'd give ya something..who ever still reads this..besides me.

Been some time...
So it's been a while since I've last blogged. I'm done taking my antibiotics for my step and feel much much better. I wouldn't recommend getting strep twice in one year, it sucks! The worst part is my tonsils get HUGE and on day 3 I always puke. Now take a second and think..puke, large tonsils that do not allow puke to exit through "normal pathways", now think of the whole spraying milk out your nose...yeah puking through your nose. FUN.
Makenna started going to preschool two days a week in the mornings this past week. Day one was a little crazy, she didn't feel well, she cried the whole time a doctors appointment and then crapped her pants while in the car....it was a LONG day! The second day of preschool was much better..she enjoys going and seeing other kids. I enjoy the alone time.
This past week I registered for my spring classes at Eastern. Ok not really at Eastern, online but yeah. I'll be "attending" Eastern to finish my bachelors degree in general studies, the program I am in gave me full credit for my associates, which was really nice. Brent will also be taking some classes in the spring at Parkland, some programming classes he is interested in for work.
That's all for now!

What you talkin about?
1. Went to the Labor day parade yesterday. Makenna enjoyed all the candy, firetrucks and bomb pop!
2. Also went to Tuscola to pay a visit to the outlet mall. Got Brent some shirts, Makenna some clothes, and I some belts.
3. Saturday was Makenna's first swim lesson, it went very well. There are two other kids signed up for her age group but they didn't show, maybe next weekend. Regardless Makenna enjoyed the pool time!
4. Mjr had free shipping this weekend so I haaad to order. Two pairs of jeans, a pair of dress kahkis, a blouse, and two biofit bras later....I feel like I'm stuck somewhere between teenager clothes and more grown up professional clothes. So really the only brands that appeal to me are limited, express and victoria secret. They are classic with a trendy twist.
5. I need to get my butt on the elliptical, I'd like to lose another 5 pounds, I've lost 5 so far mussst keeeep goinnnng.
6. Losing weight of another kind...I need to put away laundry! One basket a day is the goal, totally do-able, realllly, I can do ittttttt.
7. I'm totally ready for fall, if you catch the wind just right..you can smell it! That fall smell..you know it, it reminds you of camp fires, pumpkin pie, the smell of leaves on the ground..mmmmmm. I LOVE FALL! I mention this to Brent on a regular basis and he just laughs and says you say that about every season whenever it changes. I just may be guilty of that....BUT I LOVE fall!

Silk Naturals Haul!
So I said that when I got my stuff from Silk Naturals I would review it! Well....two orders later, I'm reviewing now! Yeah two orders, I've not bought anything from that I didn't like..my new love. I heart Silk Naturals. Anyway.
First order: Foptic brush, samples of cream eyeliners in Midnight, Amethyst, Peacock, sample of gel liner mixing medium, sample of drama contour blush (mac dupe), halo glow (msf mac dupe), carnal blush (nars dupe), climax (nars dupe) and my freebies of winsome eyeshadow and sample of foreplay kisser slicker gloss.
Like I said I love everything and so I made ANOTHER order, cause I haaaad to have a full size foreplay kisser slicker. So this time I bought the foundation sample kit, it includes undertone pigments and a white base powder. You mix your own foundation! Yay so finally my foundation actually matches, my mix is 1 scoop of Olive to 7 scoops of Ivory.
I also bought some more mixing medium (great stuff!), blur finishing powder, cupid glow (mac msf dupe), tart (bobbie brown dupe), kisser slicker in foreplay (swatch below), and freebies of winsome eyeshadow, polly eyeshadow (mac dupe), and olive you eyeshadow. Ignore the brush in this photo, I got it in a swap.

Bad Girl Post
WARNING----This is a bad girl post, ie- something I bought, most likely MAKEUP!
Sooo some time last week I was on a makeup forum (surprise!) and someone mentioned My Pretty Pink Sample Bag . They have two sizes and each month they rotate the "samples" you can try. I went with the three piece bag, $6.50 including shipping. I choose the NYX falsies, Revlon Runway collection nails and samples of Eyeko cream in original and tinted. Oddly enough it came in a pretty purple bag, but hey minor technicality...the only things that are samples are the eyeko creams, but you get two. The nails and eyelashes are obviously full sized.
I've not had the chance to try out the false eyelashes or nails (cause I just did mine yesterday) but I did try out the tinted and original eyeko cream and OH MY GOODNESS! I am in looooove, the original cream is colored a lot like a mac pigment I have called vanilla and it will be my go to for highlighting! After I'm done with the 5 gram sample jar I think I will be getting the mondo sized one straight from Eyeko!
Weekend Rewind
So at some point yesterday while everyone else was napping I decided that I did in fact want to see Julie and Julia in the theaters, it had been since May that I had been to the cinema. It was so cute, I was hungry and wanted to cook right afterwards. Mom went with me, I saved Brent the agony of going with me as he wasn't realllly interested.
This past weekend we met with Jan for brunch, thanks again for coming over to see us! It had been quite a while since we had last seen her, like February on my birthday. After a little Peep we made our way to the infamous CoCo Mero, it is sooo good. I decided on some mango, pomegranate, and blueberry frozen yogurt with strawberries, kiwi and M&Ms!
On Saturday we headed over to Danville for a little party at Ryan and Heather's house. They had rented a bounce house and invited a bunch of kids for a rockin' party. Makenna had a great time and for the rest of the day talked about the fun time she had playing with Keely.
I've included some pictures, the rest of them I WILL upload tomorrow on the desktop while I am working out! Lord knows it will take forever!

I've been a baaaad girl...
Today I placed an order with Silk Naturals , I've seen them before and thennnn someone sent me a sample in the mail during a swap and I decided I really wanted to try some more of the stuff they have. The sample I had, I used it all, I threw it in my foundation and loved it.
Right now if you spend $10 before shipping they will send you a surprise eyeshadow. If you are a new customer use the code "friend" to get 5% off your order. They have really cheap samples and they had a stippling brush I wanted sooo I ordered. They also have dupes of some mac, nars, benefit, and be stuff so I ended up buying four samples of some dupes. Three cream liner samples, and some gel liner to use with pigments...and shipping was only $2.25.
I'll let you know how I like everything! Bwah hahahhaha...
Earlier this week I also ordered some samples of eyeko cream in original and tinted, very excited!

Whoot Whoot
We finished the laundry station this past weekend and I am in heaven! Totally worth the effort and the expense. I've folded a load already this morning and the washer and dryer is running as we speak!

Moving right along...
So we've been working on the upstairs laundry room a little bit each night this week. It's mostly done and I'll be excited when it is finished as I won't have to lug baskets down two flights of stairs and across the house! The washing machine could be hooked up today, but the dryer has a couple of things left to complete before we are ready to hook it up. We should have them hooked up this weekend!
At some point after we finish we'll blow some insulation on to the ceiling of the closet room from the attic. Annd in the distant future we'll drywall over the horizontal board walls and replace the "trim". Right now the window is trimmed out in some pieces of beadboard wainscoting, obviously from another part of the house. The drywall may be a pain to do b/c of the vaulted ceiling...
I noticed the other day at home depot that they had an add on a shower kit for clawfoot tubs, relatively cheap annnnnd I just gained possession of a snazzy coupon, whoot!

My Baby Pig...
That is what she calls herself a baby pig..she likes Charlotte's Web. Here are some photos from a couple of weeks ago. We took Makenna to the County Fair and she got to ride some little kiddie rides

We put up Makenna's big bed today...seems like she was born just yesterday. Some photos of the new layout and bed...and frog.
Also for your viewing pleasure, Makenna after playing in my makeup. When I first saw her I thought she busted herself in the eye, lol.
