I love this picture, not taken by me, but By Dan O'Brien at http://gct13.com/

Hope everyone had a great weekend, as we did. It all started with Friday night, Grandma Vicki was nice enough to babysit for us, so we got our steak on at Alexanders. Oh the lovely, butter and sour cream filled potatoes, and buttered texas toast, oh and the filet, it was goooooood. Afterwards we went to Old Navy and then Meijer to pick up some groceries without the baby. Saturday morning before going to pick up the little one we went and got haircuts and test drove a Hhr. Brent was still wanting Chinese (like for the last 3 weeks), so we went with the stipulation that we went to the pool on Sunday, ha! So we went to the pool (bet you didn't see that one coming!), it was great, wonderful weather, lots of fun! I posted some pics.

No plans for this weekend, it is suppose to be hottttt, so not much is gonna happen outside! Makenna just got done helping me plant the rest of my new flowers from Lowes, a few mums, and a few others, woohoo. She also did some digging in the veggie garden as I planted some parsley next to the basil.

Uhhhhh, don't remind me it's August already!

Wonderful Wednesday

Yesterday was a wonderful wednesday! After the normal eat breakfast & checking email, the normal shower and getting dressed, Brent asked my if I wanted to go to Curtis Orchard (they opened yesterday)! He had secretly taken the day off to spend it would Makenna and I. So off to Curtis Orchard we went! It was lovely and fun, afterwards we grabbed some lunch and came back to the house. After a little working on the front room (me) and running cable to the front room (Brent), we did a little video game playing and web surfing while Makenna napped. We hadn't been to Prarie Farm yet this year so we piled in the car to go see some animals! After all the animal kisses and stink we played on one of the play...things, Grandma called and proposed a picnic in the park! It was a really nice day out, nice breeze, high 70s! Makenna had fun in the park running around with her ball and then over to the swingsets!

New pictures are up!

The Fumes...

Are eating my brain!!!!!!!!! Too much polyurethane! Yes today I started the task of poly-ing the front room, soon to be called the livingroom. All I have left to do are the two pocket doors and the chair-rail. Then I just need to finish the closet, by way of a little paint and I need to return a piece of trim I bought that isn't the right size (I know...measure..but I didn't). Doh, and I need to stain, miter, and poly the quarter round. Ok, so it isn't quite as close...

We got a new tv today, new to us, this one doesn't buzz so loud that it gives you a headache. I've been looking at buying an elliptical since my gym randomly closed. And I can't find any other gyms that are as affordable as my last one, nor any that are open the hours that my old gym was. So the only thing I usually used at the gym was an elliptical, so we figure we'll just buy one and make the chapel my gym. This way I don't have to worry about hours, or equipment being open, or people that STINK at the gym or people that STARE at the gym, or looking pretty, or wearing something gym worthy. And I don't have to pay a start up fee, or get charged a your paying your bill with anything fee, what the crap! I know everyone thinks but you won't use it, but I've worked out at the gym for two years now, using the elliptical everytime.

Ok anyway, cause I'm sure no one really cares about all of that, pictures are up!

On the couch....

I'm on the couch with my bed buddy heating pad, on my leg, why? The other morning while carrying Ms. Mae down the stairs, I got a MASSIVE charlie horse. I put her down instantly and grabbed my leg. I've never experienced a charlie horse while standing, usually I just stretch wrong in bed or something. So I've not been to the gym yet this week, afraid I would push myself too far and cause my injury to worsen.

This weekend we are going to try really hard to make it to the Farmers Market. This Saturday we are also going to Indiana to see family. I need to mow the lawn sometime soon and weed the veggie garden! Brent had to bury another cat a couple of days ago. We noticed when we got home that back by the chapel, there was a....certain odor...a dead stink. Sure enough the next day or so, he discovered one of the random stray cats was dead, next to the chapel. That totally explains why Dahlia refused to eat her food over by the chapel. So we have a little pet cemetary going, two stray cats, one bunny and one hamster. RIP

Sometime when I get motivated...I am going to finish the front room. I still need to poly the woodwork and finish painting the closet. THEN we are going to move the living room into the front room AND THEN we are going to tear the rest of the carpet out of the downstairs. The entry way, the current living room and the dining room...oh yes the beautiful wood floors.

Ok, I'm rambling.

We be home..

We are home from our trip up to Michigan City for the fourth! We got back around 9pm last night, early enough to unpack a little and relax. We had a nice time while we were up for the Fourth of July. We watched some fireworks from a sand dune on the beach, ate out at a local steakhouse and took at trip to play at the beach. Makenna had a nice time while we were up there too.

We took some pictures, they are on our photosite!
